Breathe Properly and Lose Weight
We all know that everybody breathes, it’s a simple fact of being alive. But did you know that breathing properly can be the key to becoming healthier and even losing weight? Unless you’re a professionally trained opera singer you probably breathe like most of the world and breathe from your chest. The proper way to breathe is exactly how singers are taught, you breathe in so deeply that you feel your lungs expanding into your stomach! Breathing in this way allows your body to use its full lung capacity and could be a way to aid slimming and lose some weight.
So how can breathing properly help you with your weight loss? Well, once you have started using a deep breathing method you will feel refreshed and relaxed. The extra oxygen that you are taking in is giving your body more fuel to work with and the toxins released by your body that cause weight gain are released which give your immune system a serious boost. Another perfect example of how breathing properly will help your slimming is that over time your metabolism will slowly but surely increase until you are burning more calories and you noticeably lose weight.
Breathing properly to aid your slimming couldn’t be easier. All you need to do is practice and it’s the kind of exercise you can practice anywhere; on the bus, in the car, or in the middle of a hectic day at work. Just concentrate on taking the deepest breath in that you can and hold it for 10 seconds. Once you have tried a few times 10 seconds may be no problem, but now try for 20 seconds! It may feel somewhat unpleasant to start with but this is not unusual. Your body is simply adjusting to the new breathing method and it takes a bit of time. Just keep it up and you will lose weight in no time. Once your breathing pattern has adjusted to the new deep breaths you will start to feel good and before long you will see that you are slimming down.
Probably the best place to start your trying to change your breathing and learning breathe properly would be in bed or while you’re lying down comfortably. The main reason for this is that while you’re sat at your computer or watching TV you are probably hunched over in some way which will decrease your lung capacity quite a bit. Until your body has adjusted to your new breathing, why make things harder for yourself?
So if you want to learn how to breathe properly to lose weight or just as an addition to your slimming arsenal then adjust your breathing for your weight loss!
